What We Offer
Enhance Academy Trust SCITT is working in partnership with Teach First to provide School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) where you will gain Qualified Teacher Status and a PGCE.
Starting in September 2026, our one-year, research-led training will give you plenty of hands-on experience and allow you to train to teach in a school near you. Our curriculum focuses on supporting you to put learning into practice to have an impact on pupils during a four-day-a-week core school placement from mid-September to July. You will have one day a week to engage in training and development to support your teaching practice, as well as six weeks gaining broader school experience in other educational settings. The programme balances developing your subject knowledge and expertise alongside giving you a deep understanding of effective teaching methods and techniques to manage your workload and wellbeing.

Enhance Academy Trust is a Church of England Multi-Academy Trust comprising of sixteen primary schools located across Wakefield and Kirklees and CAPA College, a post 16 performing arts free school.

Through our partnership with Teach First, one of the leading providers of outstanding teacher training in the country, we are able to offer the School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) route into teaching across our family of schools.
The schools in our Trust include faith and non-faith schools, and we work collaboratively together to achieve our shared vision and goals. Our vision is to deliver outstanding educational outcomes and learning skills to enable our young people to live well in the world around them.
